Dr. Qureshy, You saw my son last April, '09 on an emergency basis on a Friday. At that time my son had been experiencing extreme pain in his jaw and head. He has autism and could not fully tell us where and how he was hurting but we could tell the pain was severe. You were so kind to us and confirmed the fact that he had TMJ and it was not his teeth that were the problem but his jaw. You went beyond the call of duty and personally called his Neurologist to explain the situation. At that time his neurologist put him on a medication for nerve pain, Neurontin. This medication immediately decreased his pain and changed his behavior from being extremely agitated to calm. Our son was just diagnosed with a Genetic Connective Disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This causes instability in all the joints as well as extreme pain. TMJ goes along with this condition as well as many other conditions. I do believe, on that day, your kindness helped him to an extreme that no other physician had accomplished.
